How much do you honestly know about advertising in the online era? For me it took forever to absorb it all, because for the previous twenty years I had worked in print media advertising.

There was a time in my life when I would write ads for newspapers and magazines, but those mornings are gone as the newspaper industry dies.

I moved on to more enjoyable pastures, learning the next wave of advertising for the digital age, and in particular what it means for Heating and Air Conditioning machine companies. The true lifeblood of the advertising supplier has basically always been word-of-mouth, and how to properly harness it for cash. Many Heating and Air Conditioning machine companies existed solely on nice word of mouth for what seemed like forever, without ever using ads of any kind, but you can’t get by with just that these days. People don’t meet at the public market and gossip at all like they used to, and the power of word of mouth has been upgraded by Yelp reviews, social media, and online advertising… You will get so many more notices from a PPC ad on Facebook than you will from a full sized billboard alongside the most busy road. People used to ask around for recommendations, but now they basically do a Google search and read the online reviews, so the advertising supplier has changed a lot. There are a good amount of Heating and Air Conditioning companies out there that still haven’t gotten onboard the online era, and need to sincerely consider how web design, SEO and online advertising could boost their profile online and in person.
