I lived in a house complex once when I was straight out of school. It wasn’t like the low end lake house I had when I was in school. This lake house was absolutely pretty nice as I absolutely had a salary to cover fine housing. When I would go to the office each month to pay the rent, they would also hand me a HVAC air filter. This was something I hadn’t noticed before. Actually, the heating & cooling in every other place I lived was nothing to write home about. But this place I had with my first job task, that place was nice. And the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C device in that place was nice. Hence the a/c filter. The rental supplier was protecting their investment in quality heating & air by handing out air filters to each renter each month. That was my introduction to just how important changing the air filter each month is to the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment. Now those ac filters from the rental supplier weren’t HEPA air filters or anything like that. They were cheap air filters that were there to protect the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C device & not my health. And protect the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C device they do. But if you don’t change the air filter, it’s not only not helping, it’s hurting the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment. A plugged & dirty Heating, Ventilation, & A/C air filter just forces the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C component to work much harder. That cuts down the efficiency of the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C component and the longevity of the heating & cooling equipment. So, it’s crucial to the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C component that the air filter gets changed each month.
