When I got the letter, I wasn’t sure that it was the real deal.

• I almost thought that 1 of my friends & their weird sense of humor was behind the letter telling me that I was now a homeowner.

But then it dawned on me that this was registered mail from a lawyer’s office. Suddenly, I needed to sit down in the cooling of my lake house for a minute to steady myself. It turns out that a great uncle had left his home. This good uncle & I shared the same rural community & we visited often. He died after living a long life & went peacefully. I really missed my visits & his kindness but I moved on with life as you do. Then that letter came. Not only did I get the lake house but I got the property as well. Again, it took a few more hours in the air conditioning to absolutely have all of that sink in. It was amazing however the lake house also needed a major facelift. And that needed to start with the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment. That old Heating, Ventilation, & A/C component must have been well over 20 years old. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C cabinet outside was so warped that you couldn’t even see anything on it. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier came out to inspect & said that the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C component needed to be replaced. But the great news was that the HVAC duct was in superb shape so that wasn’t a problem. Once I had the new Heating, Ventilation, & A/C device installed, I moved in & I can’t tell you how much this gift of kindness has changed my life.
