My sister always wanted a wedding on the beach in the middle of the summer season.
I thought it was ridiculous, especially since the summer temperatures are always hot and humid.
I always pictured myself getting married in a colder climate with snow falling on the trees. When my sister and her fiance got engaged, I knew they were going to plan a summer wedding. When my sister told me the date, I wasn’t shocked or surprised. My sister decided to get married in a church, but the reception was held in a hotel banquet room about 3 miles away from the church. After the wedding, everyone drove to the reception hall. On the morning of the wedding, my sister received a phone call from the hotel. They wanted to let my sister know that the banquet room she rented was not going to be available due to an AC problem. They promised my sister that the accommodations would still be wonderful. It was the last minute and she certainly didn’t have any other choice. My sister tried not to think about the AC problem, but I could tell it was on her mind as she was getting ready for the wedding. I decided to drive over to the hotel to check out the new accommodations and the indoor air temperatures. I hoped it would ease my sister’s nerves and anxiety. I took a couple of pictures and I quickly came back to the church. When my sister saw that everything was set up, she became much calmer. I still think it was an insane idea to get married in the middle of July, but I’m certainly glad everything worked out well.
