I think this past year was a large reality check for me.
Once the pandemic hit plus I had to stay at beach house in the safety of our own Heating plus A/C, things changed.
At first, it wasn’t so great. Trying to figure out how to labor from beach house in the while our family was all around took some effort. Plus, the two of us had to deal with some belt tightening as both our wife plus I had to accept some spend money cuts. So the start of that phase was a bit bleak plus I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to handle it. However, a unusual thing happened. Life slowed down to the essentials. I found myself taking care of the Heating plus A/C responsibilities without forgetting. Time with our family was not rushed plus I was focused on them. It was a time where I was able to easily redefine what our priorities were. Prior to that, I was terrible with stuff around the house. The Heating plus A/C is a fantastic example. I would periodically go months at a time between air filter swings. And these weren’t the HEPA filters that could handle that. I’m talking the cheap paper Heating plus A/C air filters. Those have to be changed quarterly. Plus, I was easily easily inconsistent when it came to making sure that I was booking the Heating plus A/C service appointments. This is just super stupid because Heating plus A/C service is so essential to keeping the Heating plus A/C equipment in top form. I really even joined in on the Heating plus A/C service plan the Heating plus A/C company provided. Yep, it’s been a challenging year but one with many hidden rewards.
