I Needed a Dehumidifier Installed To My HVAC System

Every summer, I struggle to keep the humidity levels under control inside my house.

Even though I run my air conditioning system regularly and I’ve never noticed any severe issues with the air conditioner, the excess humidity is apparent.

A few weeks into Summer, I begin to see condensation building up on my windows and on some surfaces in my home. If you walk inside my house, the temperature is cool but the air is wet. The bathrooms are the worst due to the condensation caused from the shower. No matter how often I run the overhead vent, the humidity lingers in the bathroom and it creates a musty smell. I haven’t looked into the issue because I know the chances of me finding mold are high. This year, I decided to tackle the humidity issue and get everything under control. I contacted an HVAC professional and asked him to come service my HVAC system before the summer season. While he was at my house, I told him about the excess humidity and the musty smells. He agreed that my home was humid and that it wasn’t normal. He also told me that if I let the humidity linger too long, the house would rot and create structural damage to the house. This was frightening! The HVAC professional insisted that I install a dehumidifier directly into the HVAC system. According to him, this would be the most effective way to eliminate the moisture from the air. I wanted to protect the structure of my house and I was ready to take the next step!
