He Suggested An HVAC Humidifier and Plants

In this region, the air is extremely dry, especially during the summer months.

Having air that is too dry can cause a lot of issues. For example, my skin is always chapped and itchy, my eyes are always red and irritated, and dehydration is always lingering. I always thought the dry air was something I would have to tolerate unless I was willing to move. Since I’ve never wanted to move, I decided to contact my local HVAC company and hire an HVAC technician to come help me. I couldn’t change the air outside, but I could change the air inside. I expressed my concern to the HVAC technician about the dry air and asked if there was anything I could do to add moisture back into the air. I told him I didn’t want to purchase a small humidifier, because I already knew it wouldn’t be effective or consistent throughout the entire house. The HVAC technician suggested a few really helpful ideas! First, he suggested that I have a humidifier attached to my central HVAC system. The humidifier would add moisture to the air that was already coming through my vents. It would be easy to add moisture to the air and spread it evenly throughout the house. The cost was high because I’d have to pay labor fees, but it was the most effective solution. The HVAC technician also suggested that I add a few plants to my house. If I watered the plants regularly, they would naturally add moisture back into the air.
