Thank goodness our furnace lasted all through the winter, now that the weather is finally heating up, the furnace broke down and stopped laboring altogether.
I couldn’t entirely guess our fantastic luck, because if it had stopped laboring during the winter, after that I would have been in big trouble.
The Winter weather around here is bad and you can’t last for very long at all separate from a heating source of some sort; Of course, for us, the two of us only have 1 small electric space oil furnace to heat the home if the furnace goes out. I usually handle all of the Heating, Ventilation and A/C repair and repair around the home but for some reason, this year I completely forgot about it. The two of us didn’t have any heating repair done at all before the weather started cooling down in the fall and so by the end of the winter, our furnace was in entirely bad shape. It was on its last legs a couple of weeks ago when the weather finally started heating up in earnest. I knew that it was just about done for when I heard a odd sound coming from the ductwork when I turned the control device up 1 freezing afternoon. I knew for a fact that at that point the two of us were living on borrowed time as far as the heating plan went, however well, sure enough, the next afternoon there was a bad banging sound from the furnace room in the basement and then black smoke came through 1 of the heating vents! At least now the two of us have the whole Summer to save up some currency to get it repaired!
