Everyone would like to get something for nothing, myself and others included. I would be telling a fib if I acted as if I was 1 of these holier than thou people who only believes you should get good cash and get rewarded for slaving your butt off till you near drop dead. The office I task at had to get some emergency construction to meet the modern building codes in our city. And because of that they gave us all the time off from our tasks with full spend money as if the two of us were going to work! The amount of building construction that was needing to be done to meet the brand modern local building codes was going to take a little over a month. So this was a full month of working full time and spend money with having a vacation more or less! I easily took our family on a 1 week vacay to the islands during this time when I found out it was going to be happening. I have to entirely thank the state, the county and their modern building codes for this! Also, I can thank the office construction people for taking their lazy time in doing the office renovations that needed to happen. From what I understand, they don’t have to task on weekends. So this possibly sum in total gave us an extra week off to make it be a full month! I consider myself to be truly fortunate to have had this happen. Because of the office construction, they are not even taking it away from our paid vacation accumulation time I or the other employees have. Isn’t life grand?
