Have you ever observed how some people seem to get wonderful ideas and their life trajectory just leads them from one fantastic life moment to the next? That is how it has been with my best friend’s son, Larry.
Larry was kind of a nerdy child who could never manage to get a date.
Once he grew up, the ladies were easily lining up to be with him, and he became a mechanical engineer and joined the military service. He was incredibly smart, handsome because even nerds look fantastic in a sailor’s uniform, and had a wonderful work assignment. After leaving the industrial boilers and chillers of the military ship behind to spend more time at home, Larry became gainfully employed at a relatively small industrial boiler and chiller manufacturing business. He was honestly fantastic at his task and well-liked. He managed to learn everything about industrial boilers and chillers used in manufacturing plants and on school campuses and in bottling facilities and added that expertise to what he knew about boilers and chillers on board ships. He was able to do pretty much anything he was asked to do. With his boyish charm and wonderful looks, he made a fine industrial boiler salesperson. With his mechanical aptitude, he could be counted on to take care of boiler repairs and conduct chiller maintenance when it was absolutely necessary. If a contractor purchased a whole industrial cooling or boiler system, Larry often was on the team that installed it. One thing in particular that he observed while out doing vital boiler or chiller repairs, though, was how much money the contractor was losing while the boilers were down for repair. It bothered him a great deal, and he got to thinking about how to fix this problem.
