I wonder if our house is clean enough to keep everyone healthy.
I was never a clean freak, but I like it clean. I see a lot of dust in our house. Dust comprises dead skin, animal hair, and even minute particles of feces. Now, we were considering having a whole house air purification system installed. The HVAC technician recommended that we get an HEPA air purifier. This is a high-efficiency particulate air purifier. It uses the most effective air filter on the market. The HEPA air filter can remove more allergens and pollutants from the air: up to 99% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. The HVAC tech told us to not get an electrostatic air purifier. There isn’t an air filter. It uses an internal filtration system that attracts charged particles. It needs to be cleaned regularly, and it quickly becomes less efficient. He said that an Ionic Ozone air purifier makes it easier for air filters and cleaners to be more effective if you use it with an HEPA filter. When used alone, the Ionic Ozone air purifier can produce harmful levels of ozone.
