There is oak, pine, cherry, and cedar furniture done to your exact wants and needs. I have gotten onto using river recovered heart pine. It is a gorgeous yellow looking wood that is durable. It matches the wood ceiling in my living room and is of great quality. It cleans up nicely and is a showpiece. I have outfitted my entire kitchen and living room with custom pine furniture. Then I got headboards and night tables for the bedrooms. The office got a desk, filing cabinet, and a credenza. I even bought a custom bookcase for one of the rooms just to have something neat in there. Now I am in the last room of the house. The bathrooms need some love. I have been talking to the custom furniture builder about making vanities. I am really excited by the possibility of a pine vanity. They can make it the size I want and height. My space next to the shower isn’t a standard size. So I had been losing around 9 inches of space due to the odd sizing. With a custom builder I will get to utilize the whole space. I also can have drawer sizes and cupboard sizes that are unique as well. I want everything a little deeper than the norm. I also want very minimal drawers and more openings than a usual vanity. These specific requests are going to be met.
