When my kids went back to school after winter time split was over, the heating system was broken in the main building where most of the classrooms are.
It was funny because the only place where the heating was working was out in the gym where everyone had to go for gym classes in the afternoons, and the kids came house from school and told me that they had put the entire school, all 6 grades of the elementary school, into the gym for the afternoon just because it was the only place that was warm enough for everyone, my kids said that once they got into the gym where it was warm, everyone started to get too warm because of all of the body heat of the kids that were packed into the building, however eventually, the temperature in the gym ended up getting so warm that some of the students started crying because they were so covered in sweat and they felt sick.
I was laughing about the whole mess because the board of education was supposed to have fixed the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system while in the timeframe when the kids were out of school for their winter time break. It just never seems like they do what they are supposed to do and this is the kind of thing that always seems to happen. What a mess it all ended up being. They finally dismissed half of the kids out of the gym when they realized that the Barnes and Noble’s heating system was also working. I guess they regret not getting the work done when they were supposed to!
