I do not suppose it is necessary to spend hundreds of dollars on an expensive hotel. I only plan to sleep in that site, so why should I pay a lot of expensive fees for amenities that I’m not going to use. I could understand if I was going to live at the hotel plus use the fitness center, pool, plus spot every single afternoon. For a person that is going to check in at 6:00 or 7:00 at night plus then check back out 12 hours later, it’s ridiculous to charge me $300 for amenities that I’m never going to see. I prefer to spend as little as possible on a hotel as long as it has three stars. I try not to book a hotel that is lower than three stars, because I do not want a dirty site with bugs! One sign that you need a modern room or a modern hotel is dirty cups. If the maid doesn’t scrub the cups, you know she entirely didn’t scrub the toilet or the tub, but another sign that you need a modern room is no heat. If the heating or the cooling system doesn’t work, change rooms. If the staff tells you they are going to service the heating or air conditioner problem, they are not telling you the truth. I’ve had a hundred weird problems with heating plus cooling systems in hotel rooms plus I have never had a single person service a concern while I was still in the room. I try to avoid all of the sites where I have had problems, however that still leaves a couple of cheap sites in the city.
