Last summer, we bought a camper just as the camping season was ending. We knew we had to put a new HVAC system in the camper, which is why we got it so cheap. When spring arrived, we started looking for a new HVAC system. We didn’t have a large camper, but the HVAC system was going to be more expensive than we expected to pay. We visited several RV dealerships hoping to find a suitable HVAC system, but we found nothing. It took us almost a month before we located an HVAC system that would work for our camper. We traveled over a hundred miles to a dealer that was in another state. He showed us what he had and offered to install the HVAC system while we were there. When he removed the old HVAC system, he frowned. He wanted to know why we were installing a new one. We told him the owner had told us the HVAC system was broken. He replaced the air filter and repaired a broken wire he found in the electrical system. It cost us twenty-five dollars for the air filter and ten dollars for the wire. He said he wanted nothing for the labor. He told us the HVAC system was only a couple of years old, and whatever we paid for the camper, we got an excellent deal. When my husband told him we paid less for the camper than what we were prepared to pay for the HVAC system, the man laughed. He said he wished he could get a deal like that someday.
