Given that it was so cold, how could they put up such instructions? The house had good heating equipment because it was warm and cozy, but they could have at least left house shoes, given that tiles could get very cold even with a fully functional HVAC installation.
They were pleasantly warm when I stepped on the tiles, which was a welcome surprise. I could even remove my socks and roam around comfortably. It indicated that the house must have underfloor heating. Amazingly, the lengths the heating company has gone to ensure indoor comfort on every level. It would be our home for one month. My partner checked the documentation that indicated when the blast heater maintenance was done and the HVAC professional that did it. We did not want to run into a situation where we would have to start looking for a heating technician to deal with heating repair, which we could have otherwise avoided by regular servicing. After checking the rest of the house, we realized that calling a heating dealership would not be necessary since they had a portable electric heater in case of any eventuality. The documents also listed a few energy-saving tips we could easily apply during our stay, which I found very pleasant. The house used a furnace for whole home heating. They must have, in recent years, contracted a heating dealer because every heating device looked modern, so I was shocked to see a thermostat that looked ancient compared to the rest. The cherry on top was the beautiful wood fireplace that gave the place a rustic feel.
