Turns out, that switch was not factory authorized as a upgradement.
I’m generally fairly on top of things around our house! It’s not a great condo as it’s just our wife and I along with a couple of cats! My nice friend and I care about this condo and have appreciated renovating it, and that’s nice because it sure needed a lot of work when my friend and I first bought it… But that was a given as my friend and I got the locale for a rock bottom price because it needed some work. The first thing my friend and I upgraded was the heating and air conditioning equipment. My nice friend and I live in a region where central air conditioning means there is a gas fuel furnace for the winter. My nice friend and I got the latest in heating and air conditioning technology when it comes to the gas fuel furnace. It’s super efficient and has done a pretty charming task, but however, I could have done a much better task when it came to the heating and air conditioning repair it needed! We’re now about 7 years into owning this gas fuel furnace; but early this winter, I came to an apartment to a cold apartment which was the first time that had ever happened. If I could do it over, I would prefer that moment back so I could have called the heating and air conditioning business immediately. Instead, I finally decided to take matters into our own hands and see what I could do with the gas fuel furnace. I ended up at last finding what looked to be a burnt out switch and upgraded it with a single from the hardware store. Turns out, that switch was not factory authorized as a upgradement. It ended up failing which caused the gas fuel furnace to overheat. The heating and air conditioning business was able to come out and repair what I had done. But what they couldn’t actually repair was the fact that I had voided the warranty on our gas fuel furnace because I was dumb enough to suppose I could repair it.
