When it comes to most people, I find that I don’t have issues finding something in common that we have to talk about.
It doesn’t matter what it is, there is normally always something.
I like to strike up a conversation with people I meet and I find that they normally have interesting stories to tell. So when I had a heating and cooling worker come out to service my malfunctioning air conditioner, I did what I always did and started a conversation with him. However, even though I try to be friendly I noticed that he didn’t seem to be interested in having a conversation. I didn’t think there was that much of it and not being interested in having a conversation doesn’t immediately strike me as unfriendly. I know there are some people that are just more quiet and don’t want to talk and that’s fine, I thought I’d just let him work and give him a space. However I noticed that he seemed to have an attitude about him the entire time and he just wasn’t very friendly. When he came to me I thought he was going to tell me that he was done working on my heating and AC system but instead he told me that I was stupid for not having a service sooner because now it had damages that would need to be repaired. I couldn’t believe that he had just insulted me and we got into an argument. It led to me kicking him out of the house and I was going to go with a different heating and AC company to repair my HVAC system.
