The plan of having A/C in a garage was truly more for the fabulously wealthy in my eyeah.
But actually, it’s so straight-forward to obtain and has completely changed the way I view this space in our home.
Initially, I was super happy to finally have a garage. After years in apartments where the heating and cooling was questionable and so were the neighbors, it was nice to have a home. But the plan of having a garage seemed so truly grown up to me. I remember putting in the little work bench and then organizing that two automobile garage. It was so nice to be able to store our gear and put my partner’s automobile inside the garage. But the garage honeymoon was brief and it eventually turned into a locale where the two of us dumped stuff. It wasn’t even a year before there were zero cars inside the garage. And the two of us kept that door closed almost all the time. Then it dawned on me that that was such a waste of space. Why in the world would I have that much of our house completely unUSble. It was only because the two of us were being lazy and not getting rid of stuff. So the two of us took a lot of that mess and gave it away for people less lucky to enjoy. The actual junk the two of us finally got rid of in a real dump. And then the two of us called the Heating & A/C supplier to have them come out and install a ductless heat pump. It was so straight-forward and honestly economical. And now I have this lovelyly air conditioned space that I can appreciate all Summer long when the heat is brutal outside.
