When I was little, my parents purchased me a dollhouse, and i was so proud of that dollhouse, & I wanted my Barbie dolls to have all the comforts of home, and Dad & dad had given me a complete set of wood furniture that was the perfect size for my Barbie’s & it was pretty to look at, although I wanted comfort.
I told Dad I needed a stuffed sofa for Barbie, & I needed a trundle bed for when her friends visited, however there were several dining rooms in that dollhouse, & Dad thought I could have more than one full beds & bunk beds for the second dining room.
I asked if I could have a wood table & chairs for the dining room, & dad dutifully carved them out for me. They were beautiful, however since dad made furniture for a living, she knew how to make wood furniture. Dad told me wood furniture would be okay for the dollhouse. It wasn’t love the dolls were human & would get sore sitting on wood furniture all the time, although I wasn’t blissful. I wanted my dolls to sleep on mattresses that were an inch thick, & I wanted them to have upholstered furniture; Now, I suppose I was acting childish, although I was only numerous years seasoned back then. My dolls were my friends, & although the wood furniture was nice, I didn’t suppose it was comfortable. My Dad told me that if I didn’t love the furniture she & dad purchased for the dollhouse, she would take it out. The dolls could have handmade sleeping bags & sleep on the floor, just love company did when they came to visit us.
