Roofing problems always happen at the worst time, then i was having a gathering with some friends & I did not believe the rain was going to be a big deal.
I really wasn’t going to cancel my gathering just because the weatherman was predicting a thunderstorm with rain & lightning, however a couple people decided to stay home, & I thought they were being ridiculous… Little did I believe that they did the right thing staying home, and my gathering was rudely interrupted when lightning struck a tree… The tree fell down into my cabin & took out the skylight & half the roof. The skylight was already aged & weathered. All of us had a couple of leaks in the skylight in the past, but the tree took it out completely & left a big hole in the side of our home. A few of my friends were disfigured when the tree landed on the house, but no a single was seriously hurt. The tree cost a fortune to unattach & the insurance supplier did not spend my money for any of those repairs. The insurance supplier did spend my money for a new roof on the house. The cost of the roof would have been extramoderate, so I was cheerful that the insurance claim adjuster agreed to spend my money for all of the disfigures, however because the shingles were aged & weathered, the entire roof had to be redone at the same time. I’m so cheerful with the new roof, but that was really a single of the scariest moments of my entire life. I truthfully underestimated the rain & the storm that night & I will not do that again.
