It’s okay if you want to stay inside where there’s cool air

Have you ever felt guilty for staying inside in your central air even on an attractive, sunny, warm day outside? If so, you can join the bandwagon of guilty folks.

On nice, attractive days, it’s normal for us to crave the daylight and fresh air.

But, periodically we also want to stay inside in the central air for a bunch of reasons. Maybe you want to sit on the couch and rewatch your favorite show while you curl under a blanket in the central air. Maybe you need to scrub your house and it’s the only day you aren’t at work. You may feel a bit guilty if you work inside in the central air on your day off if you don’t take advantage of the fresh air outside. While fresh air and sun are extremely good for your overall health, it’s okay if you’d rather stay inside in the central air once in a while. Doing so does not make you lazy or a poor person to stay inside in the comfort of your air conditioned home. I’ve felt this way in the past. I’m an instructor and on our warm season breaks there were some days that I told myself I should go to the beach or get some Vitamin D from the sun. But, the couch and central air seemed more charming. If you’re having such thoughts of guilt, you can compromise. You can spend most of your day in your central air at home, and you can break it up by going for a walk to get fresh air and sun.
