It’s not uncommon for lactating girls to pump breast milk when breastfeeding or instead of breastfeeding. Some girls have a hard time breastfeeding because their babies are not latching. I have to check that my air conditioner is set to a comfortable temperature on my smart control unit before I pump. I live in a warmer climate, and my baby is in the NICU. Therefore, when I pump here, the central air conditioner is always set between 68-70 degrees. Feeling hot while pumping causes the flanges which are the devices that help collect milk to slide off . This is why it is important that you do not allow yourself to sweat too much.
