I have a little house down south that I just love.

One of my favorite parts of the house is the kitchen. There are tons of large windows that overlook the property. There is also a skylight. The skylight was a pain in the butt for a long time. It was constantly leaking water. My husband went up on the roof multiple times attempting to fix the issue. It never seemed to work. Living down south means that rain happens frequently and without warning. There are also hard rain storms and potential hurricanes. I had to keep towels all over my shoe stand to protect it from water damage. Anytime I left my southern home I needed tline buckets all down the floor and put a tarp over the wall. I knew eventually I was going to have severe damage if I allowed the skylight to leak. My husband just wanted to remove the skylight and patch it. I didn’t want to lose out on the light. I decided to consult a residential roofing company to get their opinion. Whatever they thought would be best, I would do. The roofers were great about the project. The roofing business owner told me that the skylight could stay. It just needed a quick roof repair. He got up on my roof one weekend and did the roof replacement around the skylight. It took him no time at all, he hardly charged me and the problem is fixed!
