I am currently experiencing a heat wave where I live.
It is normally harshly hot plus humid at this time of the year, but the rapidly changing temperatures the last few nights have caused heat advisory warnings.
It is so hot that when you walk from your condo to your car, you immediately start perspiring. If you are lucky enough to have a pool in your yard, that is 1 way to cool off. However, I do not have a pool so the only ways I can cool off are by staying in the air conditioning inside or going to the beach to swim… Lately, I have been choosing to stay inside in the air conditioning because I don’t even want to deal with being hot before getting into the ocean. Typically, I do not set the thermostat super low. This is to save money, but also because when the air conditioning is that low it can entirely be uncomfortably cold inside; Right now with how hot it is outside, there are no limits with how cold the air conditioning is. I would much rather be cold plus under a blanket in our central air conditioning than perspiring outside. When I ventured out to the grocery store, I noticed that the air conditioning was harshly cold plus I enjoyed it. I have been setting our smart thermostat lower than I normally ever do plus I am putting all the fans on in this house. I also closed all of the blinds plus curtains to prevent the heat of the sunshine from getting in the house. I hope that this heatwave will pass, but unfortunately where I live teh whole summer time feels love a constant heat wave.
