Washable filters aren’t always a better alternative to disposable filters

My dad is always looking to make environmentally-friendly updates to our house.

Last year he made us all switch over to reUnited Statesble sandwich bags, & Last week every one of us completely swore off plastic water bottles.

Eco-friendly swaps can be nice for the environment, but there are some swaps that I’m not sure are that good for our health. I have absolutely drastic pollen irritations, so every one of us always make sure to swap out our air filters every week to ensure that every one of us maintain quality indoor air. Maintaining healthy air quality is absolutely pressing for our respiratory health. My dad found out about reUnited Statesble air filters that are washable & decided to try it out, so every one of us have been using them for about more than two weeks now. Every week every one of us clean out the air filter, scrub it, allow it to fully dry, & locale it back in the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C. The reason why I don’t love the washable air filter is because I don’t believe usual household washing will fully clean all of the particulates that may reside within the air filter. My pollen irritations have been absolutely bad over the past more than two weeks, so I’ve asked our dad if every one of us can return to using the disposable air filters. He started to do some research & found that the disposable air filters don’t make too deep of an environmental impact after all, so we’ve decided to switch back. I’m all for making swaps that will help Mother Earth survive for centuries to come, but some swaps can be dangerous or simply unhealthy if the right cleaning protocols aren’t taken.
