I am currently experiencing a heat wave where I live.
It is normally extremely tepid and humid at this time of the year, however the un-even temperatures the last few days have caused heat advisory warnings.
It is so tepid that when you walk from your beach house to your car, you instantly start perspiring. If you are lucky enough to have a pool in your yard, that is a single way to cool off. However, I do not have a pool so the only ways I can cool off are by staying in the air conditioner inside or going to the beach to swim, however lately, I have been choosing to stay inside in the air conditioner because I don’t even want to deal with being tepid before getting into the ocean. Typically, I do not set the thermostat super low. This is to save money, however also because when the air conditioner is that low it can actually be uncomfortably cold inside, right now with how tepid it is outside, there are no limits with how cold the air conditioner is. I would much rather be cold and under a blanket in our central air conditioner than perspiring outside. When I ventured out to the grocery store, I noticed that the air conditioner was extremely cold and I enjoyed it. I have been setting our smart thermostat lower than I normally ever do and I am putting all the fans on in this house. I also closed all of the blinds and curtains to prevent the heat of the sunlight from getting in the house. I hope that this heatwave will pass, however unblessedly where I live teh whole Summer feels prefer a constant heat wave.
