The Heat Made Me Feel Like I Was Suffocating

There was a new steakhouse that had opened in the village square and I had been dying to try it out.

  • I saw signs announcing the grand opening for a month before the opening, and once they finally opened up for business, there was always a huge line wrapped around the building.

Anyone I talked to said that the food was truly phenomenal and they said that I needed to try it for myself. After waiting around for what felt like forever, I finally made the decision to eat dinner at the steakhouse. They weren’t taking phone reservations, so I waited in line for over an minute. When my name was finally called, I was led to my table. Before I could even order my water, I began to sweat. I stripped my sweater off immediately and tried to cool down. After a few hours, I realized that I wasn’t the only patron who was feeling warm. There were people all over the steakhouses fanning themselves with their menus and a few of them were honestly perspiring. The interior of the steakhouse felt suffocating and the only way I could cool down was to step outside for cool, fresh air. I asked the server if there was anything they could do to lower the temperature, but she told me they were stuck. The HVAC method wasn’t honestly working and they had several HVAC professionals working hard on it as the people I was with and I were speaking. I loved her honesty and the fact that they were being very proactive about the heat, however I was disappointed with my dining experience. I’m reluctant to go back again.
