There is a very current restaurant that opened up in our neighborhood square that I had been dying to sample. I saw many signs announcing the grand opening for a month before the opening, plus once they finally opened for business, there would always be a line wrapped around the corner. Everyone I talked to said that the food was phenomenal plus they told myself and others that I needed to sample it for myself. After waiting for what felt care about forever, I finally made the decision to eat brunch at the restaurant. They weren’t taking reservations, so I waited in line for over 45 minutes. When our name was finally called, I was shown to our table. Before I could even order a water, I began to sweat. I took our overcoat off immediately plus tried to cool down. After a couple minutes, I realized that I wasn’t the only a single who was feeling warm. There were folks all over the restaurants fanning themselves with menus plus a few of them were actually dripping perspiration. The air in the restaurant felt suffocating plus the only way I could cool down was to take a step outside for fresh air. I asked the hostess if there was anything they could do to lower the heat, even though she said they were stuck. I appreciated her honesty plus the fact that they were being so proactive about the heat, but I was disappointed with our experience. I’m reluctant to try going back again.
