It felt quite peculiar living in a new site.
I was used to a certain kind of environment since I was young, my parents lived close to their parents, and all cousins were close by.
So, you can imagine most people’s shock when the job offer came. They imagined I’d turn it down and choose to stay near home. While a section of myself and others wanted things to remain the same, another wanted a new adventure. I wanted to increase our experiences and not stay in the same small neighborhood all our life. About half an hour later, an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional at the door was ready to inspect the faulty system. He said they respond quite fast when elderly patrons call, especially in the middle of Summer or winter.
