When we were kids, our neighbourhood was small and quiet.
We had a few people living around and a country view.
We’d spend all day playing in the streets without risking any speeding vehicles. But, once the highway was built near us, the area started experiencing a boom in construction and businesses. Last month, an HVAC installation, repair, and servicing company opened its shop near us. It was an excellent place to go and find out more about aircon. Dad got intrigued after receiving a business flier and dropped by for a word with the AC business owner. The new aircon supplier had many cool new devices and also plenty of discounts to offer. He told my dad we could get a free AC diagnosis and pay a smaller amount for repairs. Dad accepted the offer and an AC mechanic came to our home. He went to work tracking the whole air conditioning system. We had an HVAC maintenance plan with a company in the city, but dad wanted to explore his options. The full central heating and cooling diagnostics revealed problems with the ductwork set up. That’s why we would experience cold spots in certain places during winter. The aircon expert began redoing the air vents and fixing any problems he found along the way. There was even a rat’s nest in the ductwork that the previous AC technician had missed. We were glad dad had gone to talk with the new AC vendor and service person because we knew the AC would work effectively during winter. Because of the excellent service, dad opted to decline to renew the HVAC servicing plan with the other business. Instead, he took on a better offer with the new air conditioner repair company near us. We could get better service and not have to wait long when we had a faulty HVAC system.
