I honestly was an idiot when I chose to have my brother install an HVAC at my home.
He was not a professional but he studied installation videos.
He made a little money installing HVAC systems for other people and he didn’t seem to have any complaints. I figured I would save a small fortune. Unfortunately, he talked me into getting a large condenser unit that seemed a little too overboard. He said that more power would be better for cooling my household, and I wasn’t sure but it seemed right to me. Well, he did an alright job installing everything but the condenser definitely is too big. I had been using this system for a few years now and it has so many issues. The problem is with short cycling. Because the condenser is too big for my smaller home, it makes the system work harder because it’s turning on and off all the time with the short cycles. This is why you have to size the HVCA properly for your home, but I didn’t know this back when my brother wanted to install this system. It turns out that my brother did the same thing with a lot of other people and they are also mad because they need to have their A/C condensers replaced. These things are supposed to last for a good 15 years, but mine seems like it’s already to it’s halfway point and it might make it to 6 years, but I’m not even sure about that. I actually want to replace the condenser unit sooner than later because my electric bills are way too expensive.
