When we had some friends come over for dinner the other evening, I was shocked when they seemed to feel uncomfortable in our home.
I told them I had my smart thermostat so I could easily adjust the temperature control settings.
They said it was fine and they didn’t think the place could have nicer comfort with our HVAC system. I wondered what they meant by that, it seemed like they were talking trash. Later on we learned that back at their place, they have radiant heated floors and they were saying how nice and comfortable that heating system was. They laughed and said they even slept on the floors a few times and it was a relaxing and comfortable sleep. I said that it didn’t sound like such a great thing to sleep on the floors, but they insisted that their carpets were exceptionally clean as they had professional cleaners come in regularly. I was kind of sick of hearing about these radiant heated floors, but then they invited us to come to dinner at their place. My wife immediately said we would love to and I was trying to think of a good excuse not to go. They made me feel offended by coming into my home and bragging about their heating system. I had a fireplace in my home and everything and that was really comfortable to relax in front of. They were in a rush to leave and we ended up having dinner the next weekend at their place. After experiencing the radiant heated floors, I could see why they were spoiled by this heating system. It really was extremely comfortable and it made me want to upgrade to radiant heated floors as well.
