I have never been very knowledgeable about building or repairing things.
So when I moved into my new home, and it needed repairs, I was calling a whole bunch of different repairmen over to my house to fix various things.
It became almost a daily thing for people to come in and out of my house. However, there is one thing that I completely forgot about, and that is my HVAC system. After I had most of the repairs in the house done, I thought that was it and I could move on with my life. Meanwhile my air conditioning system was working hard in the background to keep my home nice and cool, and having a major problem inside. Of course I didn’t notice this until it started showing signs of acting up. One of the first signs was reduced efficiency in cooling my home. My air conditioning component started having difficulty cooling my home, it felt like there was less air coming out of the HVAC vents. Not only that, but my cooling device gained a mind of its own, and would start turning itself off. I knew well enough that these are issues you don’t ignore, so after a bit of internet surfing, I found a local heating and air conditioning company. The HVAC technician wasn’t able to come out til the next day, so I kept my cooling unit off until then. When he finally arrived, he took one look at my air conditioning device and knew what the issue was. The HVAC filter hadn’t been changed since I moved in, and the HVAC device was about ready to break. Once it was changed, the A/C went back to normal.
