I thought I might be getting in over my head when I went to work for a commercial HVAC company.
I wanted to make a good amount of money though and I worked hard learning everything I could about fixing commercial heating and cooling equipment.
Well, my trainor turned out to be a great guy who I became good friends with in no time. He was telling me that I was going to love this job. He said that we would go to a lot of the local concert venues to work on their HVAC systems and keep them maintained. He said it was always fun to stick around for the shows too and oftentimes we were permitted to do that. They never minded having some HVAC professionals around just in case there was some issue that developed with the commercial HVAC systems. As my new friend said, we were spending all kinds of time watching good live performances and we even saw some of the bands that I really appreciate. I also enjoy working at some of the local pubs. I enjoy watching people making a fool of themselves doing karaoke, but I don’t like to see people sweating profusely because of a non-working cooling system. I feel like I’ve become something of a celebrity in town because I am a familiar face to a lot of these people. They know that I’m there to take care of issues with the HVAC and that makes people want to buy me drinks all the time! With good friends, good pay, good comfort, and free admission to local concerts, I’m loving this life.
