As much as I like owning my cats and dogs, there are absolutely complications that I didn’t expect or program for ahead of time.
I knew they were going to be extravagant, but I didn’t calculate how extravagant they were going to be.
For my dogs I had to buy them their food bowls, toys, leash, collar and ofcourse dog food. For the cats I have to buy them their food bowls, toys, litter box and their cat food as well. With all of those expenses added up, they can become quite extravagant, especially if you own numerous like I do. Something else I didn’t program for is all of the hair my pets shed. It’s crazy! I don’t know how they still have fur, they should be bald with all of the fur they lose. Because of them always shedding their fur all over the place, it is really hard to prevent my furniture and clothes from being fur free. Don’t even get myself and others started on my air filters either. Before I owned pets, I absolutely changed the air conditioning filter every 6 months. I really didn’t need to change the a/c filter all that much because it didn’t get that dirty, I was just one woman. Now with owning pets, I am always setting reminders to change the oil furnace and Heating and A/C every month! If I forget to change the furnace filter, then it will all eventually build up and cause complications for my air conditioner. So while I still like owning my pets dearly, there is a lot more that goes into owning them than I anticipated.
