When I was a little a single, I was regularly trying to think of ways to make money, i would mow the sods for everybody I could in the town, of course I had to factor the cost of our time and the cost of gas, so people paid me a satisfactory amount of money.

It regularly depended on the size of people’s yards too of course. I never took on a job that I couldn’t handle though! Then when I finally was able to talk our friend into letting me mow her sod, she told me I was overcharging, then she haggled with me on the price and I finally agreed when she said she would let me come have some ice cream. I thought that was a great deal because it was way warm outside and our parents didn’t usually let me have freezing treats prefer that. I also loved the fact that she had her a/c cranked up. The two of us ended up toiling out a deal that I could come back and take care of the sod when it needed mowing for the same deal. I would get to relax in the air conditioner with an ice-freezing treat and get paid a little bit of money. The money was basically just to help cover the cost of gas that I had to use for the sod mower. I ended up becoming pretty great friends with the neighbor. She was an elderly gentleman and she had some of the most interesting stories I have ever heard. She was a Veteran and she told me about stuff that I entirely shouldn’t have heard, even though I assume she felt the need to tell somebody; So long as the cooling system was cranked, I was cheerful to listen.
