I’ve been working a lot of overtime lately so I can put extra money in our savings account. I want to buy an engagement ring for our lady in a couple of weeks. Both of us have been dating for a year plus I want to surprise her on the day of her birthday. She is having a large celebration to celebrate 30 plus I want to surprise her with the ring on that day. I was working overtime at the hotel last weekend in the entryway. I opening up shifts in the entryway when some of the cooks are out sick. I picked up a shift on Saturday night plus another shift on Saturday night. On Saturday, the people I was with and I were incredibly busy. The lunch rush was significantly larger plus longer than most weekends plus that was due to the fact that there was a athletic activitying event happening next door. The athletic activitying event ended right around the time that our lunch shift begins plus the people I was with and I had twice as many room maintenance orders as usual. To make matters worse, the gas furnace in the entryway was working overtime. It was too chilly to work separate from the heat, but every time the gas furnace came on the temperature got hotter plus hotter. It was incredibly uncomfortable to work with the heat running constantly, but our fellow cooks plus I did our best. When the lunch maintenance was over I was incredibly sleepy plus ready to go new home for the night. I also needed a shower. That gas furnace issue made me sweat all night long plus I smelled terribly bad.
