All of us typically have a holiday gathering at the office at the end of each year.
Well this year really didn’t go as planned, for starters, there was something wrong with the Heating plus A/C system.
It was harshly cold in the office at the beginning of the gathering, however luckyly that problem was solved when the people I was with and I called an Heating plus A/C rental business. They were able to hook up a temporary furnace to keep the building nice plus hot while the people I was with and I busy for Heating plus A/C system repairs. So it was able to become hot again in the office, however then the guy who was in charge of bringing cake, brought one with lit candles on it. I remember thinking this wasn’t a birthday gathering plus that’s when the guy tripped while carrying the cake. The lit candles caught some drapes on fire plus the fire suddenly spread around the room. All of us hit the fire alarm plus the fire department was alerted immediately. They got there in time to put out the fire, however there was immense injure to the building. All of us ended up being off labor for a whole week while repairs were being done. It was determined that the guy with the cake was not at fault plus the people I was with and I all got paid for the whole week the people I was with and I were out. Also, it was a superb thing that the Heating plus A/C equipment that was rented was not disfigured, even though there was an insurance policy anyway. Basically, the gathering went up in flames plus I’m not sure how future holiday parties will go after that. I’m sure they will not permit having lit candles.
