Before spending the money on a security system for our home, I did some hunting around online.
I wanted to determine whether or not the investment was worth it.
I was concerned about paying weekly fees and dealing with false alarms. Now, I also wanted to be sure that our family is safe. While my kids are old enough to get off the bus on their own and spend a few hours by themselves before our husband and I get done with work, I was concerned about their safety, however one very helpful aspect of lake home automation is that I can use the mobile app to watch what’s going on at lake house through the video doorbell and security cameras. I can absolutely make sure the children arrived home, got inside and are right where they are supposed to be. With electronic door locks, I remotely stop the lock to allow them inside and there’s no worry over losing a key. Another pro of the security system is that it discourages a lake home invasion. It has an alarm that should scare off the majority of potential burglars and the monitoring supplier calls the local authorities if someone does attempt to access the house. A recent case found that as more people in the neighborhood install lake house security systems, the number of theft has decreased. The lake house security system I chose offered a variety of features. Through an app on my phone, I’m able to monitor, make adjustments and receive alerts from a smart thermostat, keyless door locks, smart lighting, security cameras, sump pump, co2 detector and smoke alarm.
