It’s no fun getting sick.
It’s worse when it lands me in bed for several days trying to shake off something and heal up.
But, what’s worse is when I feel like I have a cold or something which drags on for weeks. Same thing with the allergies. Well, there is a direct correlation with the HVAC for these issues. This is something I learned when I went to the doctor recently. I was afraid that I had some sort of lingering thing that would take a bunch of meds to get rid of. However, the doctor said that I should do two things. First, I needed to make better daily dietary choices and get exercise each day. The other was to consider the indoor air quality of my home and its connection to the HVAC. This is something that I didn’t understand at first. The doctor went on to explain how the HVAC had a great deal to do with the indoor air quality. I hadn’t even considered that. When I got home, I did a little research online. It was an eye opener. Immediately, I went to the store and bought a HEPA type HVAC air filter. This thing will pick up far more airborne contaminants than the cheap ones I used. Then I called a local company whose only focus is to clean the HVAC air filters in the home. They came out and completely cleaned the entire HVAC air duct system. It was amazing. Then, they went about sealing every single air duct joint in the ductwork. This is going to make me so happy because I’m not going to have that lingering cold all winter.
