It’s incredible how it does not take all that much to keep me happy these days. This is a balance I’ve been attempting to achieve for my entire adult life. I remember the very first time I felt like I understood how to balance life was when I was using recreational marijuana as a young adult. Using recreational cannabis allowed me to feel a particular freedom and like I could actually feel connected to the planet. It was a curious feeling but it was an authentic feeling. It’s too bad that I stopped using recreational marijuana in order to chase my career. Once I entered the corporate workforce, it was pretty much all encompassing. The feeling of unity plus calm when using recreational cannabis was eliminated from my life entirely. Decades went by before, on a whim, I started using legalized weed. That old feeling came rushing back plus was just as authentic as it had been when I was a young adult. This shifted my perspective about how much my happiness was revolving around money plus other things. Now, I make a monthly trip to the legal cannabis dispensary in town and they have all sorts of legal weed things for me to try. There are also CBD products to purchase. Having access to legal marijuana has done nothing but make my life more relaxing. I am much more attentive to my family plus have explored my passion for a particular aspect of my tasks that I never knew I had.
