With the recent corona virus scare, indoor air conditions has become more of a priority.
I worry about the health of our family.
I suppose there are potential sources for contamination in every room of the house, however pressboard furniture, carpets, personal hygiene products, pesticides, cooking, cleaning and changing humidity levels all contribute to the problem; Dust mites are everywhere! Excessive moisture encourages the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria. Insufficient humidity makes people more susceptible to respiratory infection. The ductwork and heating and cooling equipment can harbor allergens that get spread throughout the apartment every time the plan operates. Although I am conscientious about disinfecting surfaces, vacuuming and changing air filters, it’s not enough. I wanted to be more proactive. I consulted with an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional and asked for a recommendation, but she strongly urged myself and others to install a whole-house air cleaner. It is incorporated into the ductwork and filters pollutants out of the air as it passes through. The air cleaner kills 90% of viruses and pathogens and traps particles smaller than a grain of beach sand. It combats aromas and keeps the lake apartment cleaner, fresher and healthier. Plus, the air cleaner helps to prevent debris from getting inside the heating and cooling plan and building up. It keeps the equipment operating more efficiently and reliably. I like that the air cleaner is actually silent and requires only yearly repair. I’ve noticed that our family doesn’t complain of headaches or sore throats as often. The two of us aren’t regularly coughing or sneezing. The air cleaner was not all that costly and yet provides ongoing and tremendous benefits.
