I have a dear elderly lady named Dorothy that lives next door to me, and her and her husband have been my friends the whole seven years that I have lived here. Sadly, her husband just passed away a few months ago. I visit her a few times a week to keep her company. Yesterday when I was there I noticed her house was very cold. She was bundled up in a sweater and asked me if I could figure out why her furnace was not working. I went to the thermostat and It said the heat was on, but judging by the temperature, the heat definitely was not on. I have always been good at fixing HVAC units on my own so I figured I’d give it a look. I couldn’t find the main problem but I did find a few minor things wrong with the furnace after an hour of searching for the problem. I decided to call an HVAC serviceman to come investigate the furnace. When the HVAC serviceman looked over the furnace, he said I did a good job fixing the little problems of the furnace. He was able to find the main problem and fix the furnace for good. The best part is that he fixed the HVAC unit for half the price since Dorthy is a widow. After that experience, I decided to go into the HVAC business myself and try to be the best and most generous HVAC serviceman I could possibly be. I found that being an HVAC technician was lots of fun and very rewarding.
