This Is The Time To Upgrade Our Statehouse

Now that none of the elected representatives are going to be using any of the state houses during the current crisis, we need to look into upgrading all of the factors that can ensure that the statehouse is as bacteria free as is possible and does not contribute to the spread of viruses or disease.

We are looking into hiring more full time cleaning staff.

We are going to make sure that all cleaning staff both new and old will have the best most up to date anti-bacterial cleaning training. We are looking into having as many carpets and drapes removed as is feasible. We will also upgrade all things HVAC that pertain to this issue. We are getting HEPA filters installed, as well as UV air purifiers. We are going to get ductwork cleaning done. We are going to look into any further air purification systems that exist too. Any of the cost will be mitigated by the fact that if we were to have an outbreak among the elected officials it would end up all over not only the state media, but the national and even international media, and would reflect badly on the state, and cause perhaps permanent damage to the state’s reputation, perhaps resulting in a huge loss of tourism revenue. For this reason we feel that these upfront costs are minimal in comparison. At this moment in time it looks like we have a good few weeks before there is any chance of the lawmakers deciding to meet again in the statehouse, so this is the timeframe we are looking at to make these vital safety upgrades.
