I hear a terrible sound once a month — the utility bill being dropped on our household budget.
The two of us live in the part of the county that is steaming overheated for the entire summertime.
This is an unrelenting type of heat that 1 can’t deal with separate from common Heating plus A/C cooling. However, left untethered, cooling down your apartment can put a big dent into your checkbook in a gruesome fashion. Of course, the rest of the year is much easier as far as utility costs tend to go. But while in the summertime, I have to ride our family all the time to be mindful of their usage of the Heating plus A/C. I just don’t get it really. There seems to be no getting through to these obstinate people in our apartment about how luxurious the Heating plus A/C costs can get. I have shown them all the bills. I have ranted as well as raved. I have attempted to coax them into paying attention to the HVAC control unit. Not only am I being ignored, it has absolutely become disrespectful to me personally. I came apartment the other day to find our entire family, including our usually level headed partner, hanging out by the pool with the sliding glass door open. Just sitting wide open as well as it was nearly a hundred degrees outside. That was the tipping point for me, personally. I am installing a smart control unit, setting the parameters myself as well as keeping the manual operating code hidden. They can complain as well as kvetch all they want but, I am taking over the entire situation because I have no other recourse. If they can’t help me to reduce the Heating plus A/C costs than I will do it for them.
