Before I made the decision to get a smart control unit, I watched a lot of videos on the internet explaining how to install them and how to use them, because if there was one thing that I know about smart control units it is that they are a DIY style of replacement.
I mean, sure if you wanted to hire a heating and AC guy to come and do it for you, you had that option if it wasn’t something that you wanted to do with yourself.
However, this was not the case with me and I figured it would be actually easy to do. Afterall, the videos I watched online made it appear easy, however once I really went to the heating and AC supplier and obtained my smart control component I found that it wasn’t quite as easy as I thought it was. I had taken this smart control component out of the box and I started reading the directions on how to install it. The first thing I would have to do is remove my old one so that I could install the new one. The videos made this look easy and straightforward, although I was struggling with it. I could not even figure out how to remove my old control component and install a new control unit. It took several hours of reading lots of directions and enjoying some videos before I figured it out, and even after that I messed up several times before I really was able to get successfully installed. I think overall though I did get it done, so I would call it a success.
