Darleen was out and about in town running her errands as she always did every Saturday.
Her grandkids were coming to visit that evening, so she planned to cook their favorite meals.
Darleen went to the store and farmers’ market to grab fresh ingredients. Also, she had to pass by the salon to get her hair and nails done. This was the only day she could do so. As she was walking towards the salon, she noticed there was a new business where the previous car wash was set up. This was an AC business that seemed to have some special offers. Not one to pass a chance at an offer, Darleen took a detour to the AC business to see what offers they had. She’d been planning to upgrade her air conditioning for some time. She found herself hoping they had an offer in that line to help her out. Darleen wasn’t aware that the AC business had just opened its doors an hour before. She was the first customer to step inside and was greeted by the owner. He was a young man who had a lovely smile and ushered her to an empty seat. They began to speak, and Darleen asked which offers they had for new customers. The AC business owner smiled and asked Darleen if she had any need in particular. He’d see if there was something that could be done. She explained that she had an old central AC unit and longed to get a new one. But, the energy-efficient ones were too expensive for her at that moment. It was her lucky day since the AC business owner offered Darleen a brand new unit for 50% off. She almost pinched herself to see if she was dreaming.
