The lifespan of a heat pump was quite impressive

Buying my first house had been quite an achievement. My parents were proud and always insisted I keep it in the best shape. By ensuring the house was always upgraded, I’d sell it for a better amount later. That’s exactly what happened a few years later. I used an HVAC system to heat or cool the space in my previous home. The unit wasn’t that bad since it kept me comfortable in winter and summer. However, I felt like there was a better way to keep my home warm in winter. I was sometimes forced to crank up the heat on extremely cold nights. The increase in energy use would then reflect on my electric bill at the end of the month. When I decided to buy another house, I spoke to a friend who is an independent AC worker. She advised me it was better to get an energy-efficient heat pump. This unit would keep my space cool in summer and warm in winter. Another huge bonus was its longer life span. While I had to replace my HVAC system every 8 to 10 years, the heat pump could last 15 years. I had to ensure I kept up with maintenance each year. I was quite grateful for her advice, and we went together to the heat pump vendor to pick out the right size for the house. I was so glad she was there to guide me because I’d never chosen a heating system before. There was no room for error because the initial price of a heat pump was quite high.
