I remember moving around a lot when I was growing up.
I was in a military family and we commonly would stay on Naval bases. I remember this one home we lived in that was extremely huge. The place actually had hydronic heating which was actually really nice. It was a style of heating that provided a lot of help with indoor comfort. The humidity levels always felt right, and I know the boiler system is highly energy efficient. So recently, I was thinking about upgrading my heating system and I thought having a boiler would be perfect. I spoke to a few different HVAC companies to compare their prices for their boiler systems and the installation rates. I ended up going with a highly reputable HVAC company and they did an excellent job installing my new boiler system with all the radiators. It reminded me of old times when I used to live in that home with the boiler system, and it easily made my home feel more comfortable. My energy bills are lower than before and I swear that I never feel drafts in the house anymore. I honestly don’t like using central HVAC systems because the heating and cooling always feels uneven. That’s not the case when it comes to hydronic heating. The comfort levels of the home are absolutely amazing. I also know that boilers are built to last, so mine should last me at least a good 50 years with regular maintenance and care. I think I will probably end up getting on a good HVAC maintenance plan, so I don’t have to worry about it.
